• The red ribbon club project was created by the Newyork based visual Aids Artists caucus in 1991 with the motto of demonstrating the comparison for people living with Aids & their caregivers.
  • The red ribbon is a symbol for both drug abuse and for the fight against Aids. The red ribbon foundation is an organization created in 1993 with the objective of imparting education about prevention of HIV and Aids.
  • The Red Ribbon Club was established in our College during the year 2005.


  • To imbibe a sense of humane in the minds of the students through yoga and meditation.
  • To spread awareness about HIV / AIDS among the students.
  • To understand the problems of adolescence and the impact on performance.

The Red Ribbon Club of NPR college of Engineering and Technology, Natham, Dindigul conducted a motivational programme for the students of NPR Group of institutions on October, 10, 2018 in the college premises. The programme commenced with the prayer song, followed by the welcome address by Ms. R. Subalakshmi, IV-ECE introduced the chief guest, Mr. A. Kaliyamoorthi I.P.S., Former Superintendent of Police, Tiruchirapalli District. Dr. K.K. Shyam Uma Sankar, the Executive Director, NPR Group of institutions presided over the function presented the shawl to the chief guest, Mr. C. Alagappan, the Executive officer honoured the chief guest by presenting the momento.


             The chief guest delivered an inspirational speech. He emphasized the importance of education, the unique weapon to rule the world. He insisted the responsibilities of the students, as well as the current scenario of the engineering students in India. Moreover he added that NPR is the right platform to broaden the horizons which would definitely fecundate the path of the students. Ms.S.Vivek IV ECE  proposed the vote of thanks and the programme was dissolved with the National Anthem.

Dr. B.Maruthukannan, Principal, NPRCET delivered the felicitation address in which he emphasized the importance of attending such programs as theses would enrich the knowledge and will provoke us exploring new ideas and pave way for better opportunities for our career.

Dr.K.K.ShyamUmasankar, Executive Director, NPRGI offered the presidential address. 

Dr. JayanthasriBalakrishnan, Retired Professor of English, PSG Arts & Science College, Coimbatore in her speech explained about Career planning, management, growth etc. doesn’t stop or should not be stopped after getting a job, and rather it begins with getting a job. You are responsible for the decisions made regarding your career path. Sometimes it may be wrong, but that is the way it has to be.

There is lot of situations where we learn from mistakes. Always take those situations in a positive sense. Look for good mentors who can guide you. Find out what are the skills that can make you win in the competitive field. Sometimes you may have to sacrifice the satisfaction. The reason is that in some situations there can be unsatisfactory results which you may have to accept.

The students got motivated with the inspired speech. Finally the program ended with vote of thanks.

NPR College of Engineering & Technology conducted the 'Motivational Programme' in our college  from 13.02.16. Dr. S. Selvam Ph.D, Former Director-CUIC, Anna University, Chennai was the chief guest of this program.

Dr. Vra. Saathappan, Principal presented the felicitation address and invited the chief guest.  In his speech, he motivated the students to be competitive in the competitive world.

Dr. S. Selvam Ph.D, Former Director-CUIC, Anna University, Chennai in his address he motivated the students with more real life examples. Also he told the current mentality of the students and the ways to change it.
