ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Basic Engineering Department was started in the year 2007.  The Department of Basic Engineering comprising English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry, ensure the students with a strong foundation of basic ideas and concepts that are essential in grooming the budding engineers. With a fleet of 7 committed faculty, the department imparts quality education instilling in them the spirit of questioning and reasoning. For all the branches- Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, the curriculum is common.

VISION

ENGLISH

  • English language plays a vital role in the modern world, which helps the people to communicate in proper channel. To enhance, reading and writing skill, this will help in accomplishing the knowledge of creativity.

MATHS

  • Mathematics will offer course will ensure that the student learner develop the skills will able to contributes to today’s society. The student will obtain abilities to critically assess the mathematical and statistical information. Students formulate strategies for solving problems and acknowledge the importance of being intellectually curious throughout their adult lives.

PHYSICS

  • To awaken the young minds and discover their talents both in theory and in practical Physics, through dedication to teach, commitment towards students and innovative instructional methods.

CHEMISTRY

  • To provide strong fundamentals in Science and Technology in the undergraduate level degree programs and to develop research activities in Chemistry.

ENGINEERING GRAPHICS

  • One of the best ways to communicate one's ideas is through some form of picture or drawing. This is especially true for the engineer. The purpose of this guide is to give you the basics of engineering sketching and drawing.
  • We will treat "sketching" and "drawing" as one. "Sketching" generally means freehand drawing. "Drawing" usually means using drawing instruments.

MISSION

English enrich communication, knowledge and confident level of the students to obtain a creative mind and to develop the personality of the students to face interview and personal entity.

Mathematics develops calculating, computing, critical thinking, reasoning, problem solving. . Develop the student’s ability to intelligently communicate mathematical results in both written and oral because the mathematical background to succeed discipline both academically and professionally.

Physics achieves its mission by trying to evenly represent the underlying sub- disciplines of physics in research and teaching, but also to promote new areas of research, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary and applied research.

Chemistry strives for an ideal balance between knowledge creation and knowledge dissemination in the chemical sciences, with a focus on student training and education.

An engineering drawing is a subcategory of technical drawings. The purpose is to convey all the information necessary for manufacturing a product or a part.Engineering drawings use standardised language and symbols. This makes understanding the drawings simple with little to no personal interpretation possibilities.

OBJECTIVES

  • Engineers are a significant source of technological innovation and expertise.
  • They focus their brainpower on solving problems through the application of science and mathematics, discovering new ways to make life better for the general public.
